I have a 2008-2009 MiM strat and with noiseless pickups. I would like to know what Generation are the pickups and are they any good. I appreciate it.

What kind of music do you play, and how do your pickups sound?

I believe those would have been what are now called Vintage Noiseless which were just called Noiseless at the time (unless they are not staggered, then they could be the Hot Noiseless version) and replaced Lace Sensors in the MiA models and eventually worked they way into MiM models as well. As far as I know none of the later generations, Samarium Combat, N3, etc, were ever put in a MiM model from the factory.

To tell the difference between the Vintage Noiseless & Hot Noiseless the labeling on the pick-up covers are... Gold Lettering=Vintage Noiseless, Silver lettering=Hot Noiseless

I want to dart in and recommend Kinman noiseless pickups.
I have Woodstocks in both my MIA Strats.
They sound like good stock Fender single coils, sans the noise.
I find all the generations of Fender noiseless picks to be bright and harsh sounding ny comparison.

You should consider plugging it in. The quality of the answer will be much more to your expectations than what anyone else will poast.

Every pickup is good for some things & bad for others, even the cheap imports. Every. Pickup. It all depends upon your intent, not ours. I haven't found a pickup yet that is completely unusable.

Ya, they are all over the board, from Beach boy chimey to Rory and Stevie growly.
