    Hi everyone
I want to build neck and bridge singlecoil pickups for my future Telecaster.
The thing is I don't know where to get some templates or plans for this.
I'm looking for some templates to cut/drill plastic and copper with this shapes:

    http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Pickups:_Parts/3/Single-coil_Pickup_Parts.html

    http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Pickups:_Parts/2/Single-coil_Pickup_Parts.html

    I Google-it but nothing.
Can you help me with full size templates?
    Thanks in advance

I found this drawing on one of the forums quite some time ago. It worked for me. Hope it helps.

You can buy both sets for around $6.50. Why bother making them?

I bought Jason Lollars pickup winder book, it had sizes & templates in for various pickups, there used to be bits and pieces on his web site to download as well

    Why bother making them?
    Well... 2 reasons:

-I'm not from United States. So, things that cost nothing to you, cost an extra to me. I live in Chile, Southamerica, so if I buy something there must be a lot of stuffs to justify shipping costs.

    - I think it's funny to build a pickup from scratch. I saw many tutorials to build pu's, using alternate materials as wood, cd case plastic.

Great idea there Casual Reader. If one takes this drawing and crops the pickup in the vertical dimension, then prints it to the vertical size, you have your actual size template.

Print that 1.505 in. high while maintaining the aspect ratio.
