I have a G&L tribute asat classic with the Magnetic Field pickups. I'm trying to drink the vintage mojo koolaid, and want to swap in a set of low-output pickups. I'd like to keep it under $200. What should I be looking at?

Look at the GFS site, I've used a bunch of their pickups and think they're as good as any, for way less than 2 hundy.
Heck, you can get 3 sets of different flavors for that much. Aren't the G&Ls an odd size though, maybe P90 size?

The classic asat has the regular tele-sized pups.

Learn more about those pickups. They are great, versatile and can be set for lower output, more 50s sound, or for higher output, modern sounds, quite effectively.

Okay, I ordered a set of the Bootstrap Original Recipe. I'm a little skeptical, because it's one of those too good to be true situations. But I will try to keep an open mind and let my ears be the judge.
