Currently drawing up set of templates for a Thinline using Lollar imperial wide range humbuckers which are on order.

I am working from a file I downloaded from a German based plan depository that has been mentioned in TDPRI forums numerous times. Whether the drawings are of original or reissue bodies is not stated.

The problem is whether I need to make a pick guard or buy one from a local supplier. He tells me his guard is for a '72 MIM reissue telecaster thinline and not a '72 vintage reproduction. He has both but wont take time measuring up the differnces. The pickup placement of the reissue is apparently different to the original and won't fit vintage profile pickup routs.

I guess I'm being lazy not wanting to make it but I'm not interested in reinventing the wheel if I don't have to.

If any one has any idea on what the physical differences are between the two I'd be most grateful to hear from you. thanks in advance for any discussion.
