I've recently finished my first partscaster and ran across some very expensive copper wire screening. I thought it would make a cool pickguard material. I only got a small piece to see what it would look like. Maybe some brass screws to. ‍

Back it with a paisley pattern cloth and use the screen to hold it down?
    You'll have edges to manage.

When just bare screen it reminds me of an old school fly swatter.

Seems like it would whittle your picks down to nothing?

Speaking as a person who strikes my pickguard all the time.
