These are the pics off Sweetwater... I couldn't help myself. When I saw they were coming out 2 months ago I couldn't stop thinking about it. I got a rather light one at 7 and a half pounds.. It's a pretty freakin sweet guitar. I wouldn't normally buy a relic guitar even though they are attractive but this was the exception. The built in boost is very fuzzy and very useful.

I'm a massive Mike Campbell fan..Every time I pick up a guitar half the time I'm playing his licks. I've always liked this guitar when he'd take it out. The pick ups are balanced nicely. It seems to pair better with my Supra Black Magick then Lil Dawg 5e3.

Love everything about it but the price. and I will say though, as nice as this guitar is, I still enjoy my MIM Esquire or MIM Dragon just as much. You don't need to spend a lot for a nice Tele.. The Esquire at least is with me till I die, time will tell for this one. But if you are a Hearbreakers fan or even just a fan of this guitar, you won't be disappointed.

You got a killer weight as all those are 9+

I think that’s a lifetime guitar right there and no need to justify - you had me at heartbreakers ! Happy NGD. She’s a beauty and hope you can enjoy for many years to come in good health.

I splurged for my 40th and got a 51 AVRI ii. This is my heartbreakers guitar. Does the Tom and Mike thing really well.

Running down a dream - never thought I’d get something that nice. I’m kinda jealous of yours now !

Very cool. I saw him play it in Toronto last month, was on the opener.
Enjoy and congrats on your new guitar day!

Congrats! I always loved how cool it looked in the "Refugee" promo film and a Southern Accents documentary a few years later.

What is the switching like? I'd worry that the middle pickup would just get in the way for me and/or make it too Strat-y.

I’ll bet it’s nice, i think it’s super cool analog man designed the “self destruct.” I had them mod by boss SD1 (silver mod) and BD2 (super mod) - can get any heartbreakers tone out of a fender amp. It just nails their tone!

I love the 51- it’s really well built and feel like the one I got was a cut above the rest.

I think we are both recipients of “divine guitar destiny.”

😇

Just an update with this guitar. Work has been busy, its been super hot. So I haven't had a ton of time to play after I first got it. But I have played sporadically and have spent a good amount of time this weekend playing. It's real nice, it's very versatile. I was getting incredible these ragged double drop d Neil Young like sounds into my lil dawg 5e3 and a Sunbender. The built in distortion is dangerously awesome. And I just can't help but play Refugee every time I pick it up. Its made me crave more Teles I'm afraid and I'm eyeing an American Vintage II 1951...
