    Nice!

Ask Jimmy if he still has the '66 Epiphone Riviera I sold to Greg Levy about 30 years ago.

    I'll buy it back!

    NICE amp!

You can fix those dings by peeling back the Tolex...but I don't know if you want to mess with that character...

Yah I’m not going to touch or replace anything that doesn’t need it. Really love the sound. Fat, sparkly, elastic feel. Kinda woody.

Man, I was losing sleep between this and a super from the same year. Turns out I love the circuit through 12’s the best. What a journey.

I mean, this has been a really long journey that started before I knew what a guitar was. The quest for the imprinted sound that was instilled when my consciousness and recollection first came online. Finally feel like I’m home. Not next door. Not in the ballpark. Not in the neighborhood. Home!

I just realized I neglected to mention that the drivers are Utahs. When I test drove the amp, I was mentally prepared to hate them, but they sound GREAT. This is the sound. However, I'm curious how many bad reviews of these are due to tired and worn driver components or the electrolytics themselves.

    A thought...

Now that I've mentioned speakers, I have the great burden to consider. I plan on playing these until they fry. That's petty much been my philosophy; the amp was built to play, not stare at. I am expecting them to pass into the great beyond at some point and will think about some possible replacements. I feel I need to enjoy this amp for what it is as long as possible. Once something breaks, I'll fix it. I'll update all the maintenance items next week and will take plenty of pics along the way..

    Thank you!

Date code on chassis indicates a 1964 stamp. Pretty cool.

There was a thread today that has vintage guitar magazines online now for free- I randomly picked (I think) July 2013 and I am thinking that amp is in there-sorry for my ignorance Jimmie Vavino or something like that?

Close enough for a cigar. Jimmy Vivino. I read that article, too, and it reminded me how they are the perfect amp for this age of low stage volume and home playing.

When I think about the prior owner, this amp in particular is ideal for me, since I don’t have time to play complete songs.

Nothing wrong with Utahs at all. I had one out of a Pro Reverb that was superb in an old Deluxe Reverb. 64 is an early Pro reverb!
