Ian Dury & The Blockheads

Keep Chaz on piano and I'll take the 'chikka-chikka' rhythm parts.

Genre?, Ian Dury & The Blockheads. If The Blockheads can't play it, it ain't worth playing.

-or-

Dr Feelgood. I'll join in with Wilko. Brit R&B

-or-

Johnny Kidd & The Pirates. Spence/Farley/Green line-up. I'll just roadie and tune for them :)

At my Heavenly Father's House.
I think I’d rather just hang out and jam with the Faces (with Ronnie Lane on bass). Not that I would remember any of it…
Now that dear sir, is Rock n Roll.

Just get me a Nudie suit and drop me down into the Fabulous Superlatives, they look like they’re having more fun than anyone on the planet.
When you have that much talent and tone, how could every jam not be a party.

Rich Robinson on rhythm
Slash on lead
Flea on bass
Matt Cameron on drums
Chris Cornell and Ann Wilson sharing vocals
That is a band with a ton of possibilities.

SRV on guitar
Prince on guitar / flugelhorn / synths / Tibetan nose flute
Jason Newstead on bass
Dave Lombardo on drums
John Lennon on vocals and guitar

I'd get them playing for free in car parks outside B and Q, scout camps across the world and outside Eric Clapton's window, just to rub his increasingly-barmy face in it.

Or, if I were to be sensible for a minute, I would have the following:

Justin Sullivan and Kirsty MacColl on vocals
Chris Dennis on guitar
Paul Simonon on bass
Ringo on drums
Billy Preston on keys.

Can't argue with any of that!

I'll just add

-or-

The original line-up of the Godfathers, so I can jam with them. Kinda my dream job.

Stevie Wonder - everything
Steve Winwood - everything else
The Steves!
I can understand that. I can get behind that. Why didn't I think of Stevie Wonder?, the man's a genius and Steve Winwood was a prodigy who delivered and has continued to grow. 'Keep On Running' written at 15...

Americana Supergroup:

Jason Isbell - Vox/Guitar
Buddy Miller - Vox/Guitar
Emmylou Harris - Vox/A Guitar
Benmont Tench - Kbds
Michael Rhodes - Bass
Shawn Pelton - Drums

I'd also try to get John Leventhal in there, too.

Straight-up American Rock Band:

TP and Heartbreakers, none better.

Doc Watson playing uh…Doc Watson music.

I’d hold doors open for him, change his strings and find the picks he drops.
And he would let me play along.

I know I’d have a blast doing something (anything) on stage with the Blues Brothers Band. And if they can’t find a spot for me, I’ll gladly add a second guitar to Booker T & the MG’s…some consolation prize!!
