I've got a 3/4 size tele I made to pick around on setting in the easy chair. I put a bridge PU in it (no neck PU) and wired it up for the fun of it, but? It hums worst with my hand touching the bridge than without it touching the bridge? Just opposite of the way it normally does?

    Question:
What do I have on backward?

If the output jack is wired backwards, hum would be worse when touching any metal part on the control plate.

If the pickup has a base plate and is wired backwards, hum would only be worse when touching the bridge.
