I traded a 62 JM even up for a FB5 in 1976. Three p90s, nice sounding guitar, balance was OK. The JM was one of the most comfortable guitars I've played in my life. FB5 was Gibson trying to build a Strat. As a player, just get a Strat. It was possibly the dumbest equipment move I ever made. JM was just a better guitar. Sounded better. Felt better. Looked better. Just plain better.
