pick guard

    When I play I rest two fingers between the pickup and volume knob. I've only had this guitar
    six weeks and I can tell its going to have a dark oil stain there unless I do something the
    question is what? Do they make a sort of pick guard or clear film I can put in this like two
    square inch area ?

    Wear finger cots...or put those two fingers in some kind of latex device sold for the prevention of disease only.
