Hi, everyone. I’m trying out ideas to make a grab and go board. I’m downsizing to 4 pedals on a small board. I thought it would be interesting to see what 4 pedal combination you guys would pick from these pedals that I have. Pick 4 that YOU would choose for whatever kind of music you play.

Here are the pedals:

Boss TU-3w Tuner

Keeley Super Phat Mode (Blues Driver)

Fulltone Full Drive 3

Lovepedal Amp 11

Chase Tone Fuzz Fella

DOD Carcosa Fuzz

Boss DD-20 Giga Delay

Wampler Terraform

Keeley Omni Reverb

Boss RV-6 Reverb

Let’s see what you guys come up with. Thanks!

Well, you gotta have a tuna', right? So that's one

Versatile od/drive/distortion. I'm not familiar with any of the pedals listed, but if one of the pedals was a dual-drive pedal, that's the one I'd choose. If none are dual drive, which one gives me some dirt with drive pedal at 9, more dirty at 11-1, full on distortion at 4.

Gotta have a fuzz. Which one is most versatile? Do I need it to clean-up with the guitar volume down, aka a fuzz face? Or do I just kick and leave it on, aka a big muff.

I love delay, so gotta have the delay.

Don't really need reverb if I have the delay. Even if my amp doesn't have reverb, I can use the delay to simulate reverb.

No other modulation? Dang! I'll play by your rules, but one way to skirt your rules is with something like a TC EL Plethora X3, small, lightweight, portable, fits on a small board. Gives me EVERY modulation, delay, reverb when I need each one. And still counts as only one pedal.

TU3 < Fulldrive 3 < Phatmod < DD20

Gotta have the Tuna ! Not a fan myself of fuzz or modulation.

You got multiple gain stages w boost , TS style, & flat transparent od. With the clipping toggles on both overdrive pedals you have lots of options. I’d take a delay over reverb but that’s just me.

I have 2 boards laid out just like this.

TU2 > SD1 >BD2> RV3
TU2 > Fulldrive 1 > OCD >RV3

Boss RV-6 Reverb, would much rather have the RV-3 though ;)
The RV-3 was my goto pedal and I always had one on my board.

I don’t anything about most of those pedals (so why am I replying?!?).

I’d take the Lovepedal Amp 11, one of the fuzzes, and the Boss Reverb. Might as well add the tuner. Done.

I'm not a subscriber and my youngest pedal is now about 10 years old, but here's where my 4-pedal board would be.

Clean boost or distortion, delay/echo, chorus, tuner. I would ditch the tuner except I like having the mute function. My guitars hold tune well and I typically use a Snark clip-on tuner. I would put a fuzz in place of the tuner.

If the amp had acceptable reverb built-in then I’d get the Wampler Terraform instead of the Boss RV-6… because it has a killer chorus.
