The candy skull one may be the most glorious thing I've ever seen. As a Hispanic man, I'd be proud to rock that.

What kind of wood is that? I like the reversed controls, bridge and exposed route. Nice change of pace. You did very well with that.

Thank you... it's pine with "chocolate" streaks with a clear coat of nitro. I had wanted a pine caster for awhile ...and I had the aluminum in the shop for the bridge ,knobs and control plate. All parts caster...it really just fell together.

Here's mine. It's a Fender Select Carved top Koa. It's currently my #1 guitar.

I haven't got around to them yet.....

I might put a clear one on the Red tele while the finish is new,,... it's too late on the oiled one... it's already showing battle scars from windmills...

I totally love the looks of your guitar, Mike. Hope it sounds as good as it looks:

Here's mine (photo by ex-owner, now has a Lil '59 in the brige position and a rifle bullet in the neck position):

Koa is one of the woods I'm leaning toward for a top veneer. Not flamed, just streaked koa. It has a very Western or Outback look to it, and I think I could go with that in several ways. Even a hand worked and punched leather F hole style pickguard if you have to have one, even tho I don't want an F hole for this project. For a rugged yet refined look, koa is a great wood. I also like that you're using a modern bridge. Hell, I would buy that guitar.

I'd love to say that I slaved with a dremel and and exacto knife for weeks over it, but I wasn't nearly that ambitious. That's actually a Jockomo transfer. Took about 45 minutes from start to finish.
