So in order to post photos from photo bucket on to a web site (3rd party posting) you will now have to have an account subscription. Basically, if you want to put photos on a web site you have to pay for it.

No thanks photobucket. I guess you get what you pay for.

imgur.com is still pretty great. Honestly, people who use PhotoBucket are like the people who still use Internet Explorer. There's so many better options but people tend to be too lazy to look for them.

Yep, that's pretty crappy. Their hosting has sucked for a while now, particularly trying to post from iPhone or iPad.

Does www.tinypic.com still work? It's crappy, has lots of intrusive ads, often makes you do captcha stunts before your picture will upload, and there's no index, but at least it's free.

Holy cow! A modest subscription I might have been able to swallow, but they just yanked every picture from my blog without notice, and you have to step up FOUR LEVELS from the basic account for $400/year. I guess I'll be looking to move everything over to the evil G****e. It is going to be awfully time consuming fixing all the photo links in my build progress posts.

    Here are some other options:

I got an imgur account a few years back when Photobucket started to jump the shark. Imgur is great, very easy to use.

I still had a fair amount of stuff on Photobucket that I never moved over. Looks like I'll be busy doing that before I burry my photobucket account for good. This is going to kill photobucket for sure.

As a computer geek, I have my own photo hosting server located in Miami with software I wrote. It's certainly not for everyone and it's even a bit more expensive than $400 a year but I never have any problems with hosting pictures (in the past 12 years or so I've had the server). And it's a great off-site backup of my pictures (about 32,000) should someone steal my computer or the house burn down.

I can see both pics through Tapatalk with my old smartphone Android 2.something, but if I switch to web view I can only see the first one, if this makes some sense...

So what's wrong with attaching your photos here, instead of using some 3rd party site? I don't get the problem.
