Just saw that Spector died in prison, not sure of the cause of death...

Darn. I was hoping he would linger and rot in prison for 20 years, and finally be released just to croak as he was being wheeled out the door to freedom.

I think that we should give him his full title: this thread should be labelled Convicted Murderer Phil Spector dead at 81.

Apparently he died a convicted murderer.
He nearly served his full term.
There is a lesson here for anyone - you get a sentence- you stand the risk of dying.
Stay cool and don't break the law, let alone, take a human life.
He looked extremely il before death- no doubt he was.
As Ned Kelly said before they hanged him ; " Such is Life"'

He was over rated and insane .... I'm not going to miss him. Anybody ask Ronnie if she is going to miss him?
Best thing to do with guys like this is ignore them .... that is worse than prison for them.
Some of you that have been around as long as I have, especially in the 60's and early 70's know what I'm talking about.

Loved the Wall of Sound in the past...hard to enjoy it now. Similar to how I feel about Bill Cosby, Woody Allen. Some say you should separate the art from the artist, but I find that difficult to do.

At least I can still enjoy some of the Rightheous Brothers recordings. Phil was getting weird by that time and couldn't be bothered to come into the studio most of the time. Bill Medley actually produced 'Unchained Melody'.

When a friend texted me the news about Spector, my reply was, "He's Lost That Livin' Feelin'."
