I guess this song is appropriate for how we here view Phil Spector......
    I can't say I disagree. :(

I assume you're referring to the Ronnettes? Otherwise, hey, NTTAWWT. ;)

The most damaged humans often create the most compelling art.

The ability to unlock doorways to extreme creativity in the brain often results in freeing a monster.

Sometimes the emotional baggage manifests itself in monstrous ways, sometimes not so much. Brian Wilson, Sid Barrett...

Or it could just be the result of mountains of blow, barrels of booze and pills by the crate.

no, I was referring to looking (comparing his body of work) at "him" and how , it was often reported how difficult he could be to work with.
you got that right, I know a little bit about him and know that what the media sez about someone is not a complete and balance image, children of some of the most heinous ww2 war criminals were kind and loving people to their families. But our villains must be vile, through and through and that just isn't how people are all the time.
I just watched the iceman tapes and the guy said casually when asked said that he killed more than a hundred people and it didn't bother him, but he had great regret for the hurt that his family experienced when they found out what his job/work was. he was in tears when he talked about it.
remorseless when it comes to business, and caring and loving with his family...
sarcasm "no, no,no, no that can't be we want black and white!"

The problems existed before they were amplified by the lifestyle.
