The actor Peter Scolari has passed. For members of a certain age, he was very active in 80s TV. He starred with Tom Hanks in Bosom Bodies & then was in Newhart. Both prominent roles. A great actor who didn't quite get his due.

    R.I.P.

    Sorry to hear that.
He was great as Michael in Newhart.
    I loved that show.
    RIP and thanks, sir.

RIP; I loved him in Bosom Buddies and Newhart. I'm glad Hanks cast him in That Thing You Do -- it was a real Easter egg for those who followed both of them from the start of their TV careers.

Sorry to hear. A girlfriend I had at the time clued me into Bosom Buddies......really funny show, and who knew we were witnessing several "budding" actors prior to becoming "great"?

I have vague rememberances of him.
I did watch, sporadically, Bosom Buddies so I guess I remember him

    RIP

As Wikipedia notes, "Scolari, Hanks' co-star in the TV series Bosom Buddies, plays Troy Chesterfield, host of The Hollywood Television Showcase."

    Amen!
Clever, wry, dry, funny and clean.
    The hardest way.
God bless Bob Newhart, and his brilliant cast members.

I surprised myself by enjoying Bosom Buddies. The premise and writing were good, but the acting was incredible. I always tried to follow Scolari's career and am sad to learn now hard it can be sometimes.
