Planning on swapping my Texas Special bridge pickup with Voodoo. What's your favorite in his lineup?

I love the winds he does for Dan Strain.. Probably my fav pickups but there are an awful lot of really great pickups available. If I was buying a set I'd ask about those, other wise the 60's bridge and the te sweet neck.. What sound did you have in mind? Peter wants to know before he winds them for you, that's why he only does phone orders. Most of the boutique guys are more than happy to have you tell them what sound you're looking for do they can give you exactly what you want.

I've never tried his guitar pickups, but his P-Bass pickup is a work of art.

I play country. A lot of chicken pickin' etc. Also play modern country and classic rock so looking for versatility also. My other Tele has Seymour Duncan vintage stacks, same as Brent Mason uses. So I already have an early 50's voiced pickup. Looking for something just a bit different.

Im just a happy user. He winds pickups for Danocaster as well.

+1 for the TE-50. I also have a Duncan Vintage stack and even though it marketed as vintage it quite different than the Voodoo.

The TE50 is one of my favorite pickups.

That's the big debate. There's a 50, 59 & 60. I know the general differences but want to make the right choice without buying them all and doing a comparison.

I love the TE-50. Very articulate, not compressed. I have Peter's new Nocaster set. Very nice as well. A bit more compressed than the 50 and sweeter sounding. I also have the Seymour Duncan STK-T3b in the bridge of my Brent Mason signature guitar. The TE-50 is probably one of my all-time favorite pickups. Chicken Pickin' heaven!
