I just came across the news that Pete Carr, legendary guitarist at the famed Muscle Shoals Studio, passed on June 27, 2020. His guitar graced innumerable recordings by a vast array of people. We all have heard his playing for decades.....Our music is richer for his contributions.

Pete Carr was the lead guitarist on this cut.....and many others....

And he played with Gregg and Duane, in the late 1960s. Among so many other achievements.

    Rest in Peace.

    I had his solo album.
He was a cool, soulful player.
    RIP, and thanks, sir.

If you haven't seen the Muscle Shoals film, you need to.

Love playing the solo on Main St, one of my favourite songs from our current (if we ever play again) set list. Sorry to hear about Pete.

Man, thank you for that. I never really knew who Pete Carr was but he certainly added to Seger's music in that video. Takes me back to a time that might have just as well been on a different planet it's so foreign to how things are now. Where did it all go? Bob standing there looking around, reminds me of when I landed in Vegas, not to visit, but to live. It was quite an experience for a young hayseed, from central California. Life has been a long winding road for me, and music kind of puts the signposts in it along the way.

Got the news a few days ago. Made me sad. So many brilliant performances. At least we have them on tape.

Fantastic musician. One of the best .

Bob Seger basically cut a complete record at Muscle Shoals , though many outside of the GreatLakes aren’t familiar with it because it has never been rereleased after the initial album/8 track ! (Oh Bob...)

Pete Carr (RIP) on lead guitar on one of Bob’s best burners
