Every guy had a Farrah Foster poster in their room.

Remember when they had us convinced that our shoes were really supposed to have the heel lower that the rest of the foot with Earth Shoes?

Steve Perry is a Portagee (eh paisan!) that's why no Okie accent.
I remember another guy from Bakersfield teasing my roommate about his Okie accent, so I imagine that people with Okie accents were not and are not the rule in Central California, even for people of Northern European extraction.

My parents had a 1972 green Ford Grand Torino station wagon. Learned to drive on that car. It was like driving an air craft carrier. Must have weighed a couple of tons. Must have started rusting out a few tears after they bought it, even with them buying the rust proofing. Me and my one sister were always the ones who sat in that back area facing traffic behind us. No safety belts, no nothing.
The family Truckster!
