Asking here because I know some steel players inhabit this place ( TP, I'm looking at you :) )

My mate has a 1970 Emmons and the volume pot in the pedal has up and died, what is the recommended replacement for an Allen Bradley 500K Type J pot and what is the taper.

Unfortunately the steel is a couple of hours drive away and I want to try to source a suitable replacement locally before I head down to his place to do some recording next Wednesday to finalise our album.

Wes has ordered a couple from the States & Canada but there is no chance of them getting here in time because they haven't acknowledged his request yet.

    Thanks in anticipation

Try Steel Guitars of Nashville, they specialize in just that sort of thing, that is, anything pertaining to steel guitar players.
