Does anyone have any idea if it will sound okay? It is used on CL, 8ohms and cheap. I figure it's worth a shot. I've been running the amp into a 410 bass cab. Sounds pretty dull right now.

Terrible speakers IMHO, they don't even sound good on the amps they were selected for.

I have one in a SS Bandit practice amp, sounds pretty good!
I think they are rebranded Eminence 1258's.

I bought it for 30 bucks. I figured it would be an educational experience in sound and tone. There is a reason the guys making shootout videos on YouTube didn't have the peavey. It's just okay and it looks as though I bought myself a test speaker. Do you have a recommendation?

Solid Eminence speaker. 95 db efficiency and 60 watts. Not vintage alnico but there's far worse

Yeah I mean no doubt sound comes out. But really dull and uninspiring in my experience. Sounds like you kinda ended up in the same place so far...

Warehouse and Weber are great speakers for great prices.

The Warehouse ET65 makes every amp I try it on sound better, so I can't help but recommend it. Warehouse has a Veteran 30 which is super popular Vintage 30-ish speaker if you like a speaker with its own character.

Funny thing. The speaker was replaced with this: 15364509753482019637028.jpg But I got a cardboard box, too!! The whole experience is all right since I am new to this and I am terrible with a guitar. Have a good night!

That's more than likely due to the amps...
