Just bought a new Classic 30, and a local guy is selling the 112E extension cab for $200, good condition with original speaker.
    Seems like a reasonable deal...

    Should i bite?

    Thanks for any input.

I would. They are getting hard to find.

Thank you, I picked it up and I am impressed with the sound. It is in really good condition. I figured I should buy it as insurance for the future. Plus, it is my first "stack"!

Congrats, glad you got it. I've had one (and a PC30) for over a decade, and it makes a great little stack. Think of it this way: with 30 watts from 4xEL84s pushing 2x12s, you've got the same basic formula as an AC30. Plus the closed-back 112E gives you a better bass response and a little more "whomp" when you hit a chord. ;-) Very cool. Here is an old, and only, pic of my C30 and 112. I bolted them together and made a dolly of sorts with casters to make it easier to move. V30 in the combo and a G12H30 in the extension cab. I don't think I can ever sell it!
