Partscaster - Sunken Grain Lacquer

    Work in progress. Waiting on a Warmoth vintage modern maple neck which gets here tonight.

    Finish was dark walnut stain and wipe on poly. Decided to scuff sand and shoot 3 thin coats of Duplicolor Wimbledon White acrylic laquer. No grain filler. Love the grain coming through. No clear coat and lightly sanded with 1500 to a satin finish.

    Looks nice. I love Wimbledon White.

    I did one with a "sunken" finish about 10 years ago, but I did use gloss finish (over dye).

    This guitar is now apart again, because I got tired of the maple board and white guard. Switching to ebony board and black guard.
