    hi everyone,
i'm building a partscaster based on the schecter teles that pete townshend used in the 80's. i'm working on the headstock decal now. i think i'm going to put a silhouette image of pete with a tele. that might be all i put on it, i like simple things. would it be ok to put the word telecaster next to the image or is that not ok?
    thanks!
    jim

Or Petecaster. With the right font, the 'P' could hint at a 'T' and the 't' at an 'l' ....

petecaster- that could be cool too! i'll have to see if i can find a font that'll work. last night i took a drill, chisel and hammer to the bridge pickup cavity to make room for the humbucker. that was hairy. and using a hand drill tonight to drill the holes in the body for the neck i already had (with mounting holes) was pretty hairy too. i got lucky- everything lined up well. all i need is the output jack plate that's coming tomorrow...

its your guitar, put whatever you want up there!

people get really mad about the faux-fender decals... but its whatever you want. i'm giving serious thoughts to putting a squier decal on a fender neck right now... just 'cause.

    here's my bit of nonsense:

for what its worth, i think "whocaster" has a nice ring to it
