I bought a MIM tele body and reequipped and repainted it. It started as a burst, now it's silver sparkle. Pickups are Lindy Fralin Steel Pole 42 and 43. The tone control is push-pull and switches to series vs parallell signal from the pickups. Couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.

The sparkle finish was Roth silver base coat topped with way too many coats of Roth Silver Sparkle. I followed it up with epoxy clear coat (straight off the Roth website) and wet sanded and polished. I was going to do candy blue and candy red to look like a Buck Owens but i chickened out. I went with the red guard to make up for the lack of color.
