While I was just finishing up my latest build, my wife was busy cleaning out the backyard shed, and that inspired me to go through some of my guitar-building stuff to see what I could purge.

When I built my first guitar, people offered up odds and ends that they no longer needed, and that helped me to get started, so I'd like to do the same. And with the world on lock-down right now, I know we're all going to have a lot more projects in the works. So if anyone would like any of this, just let me know. Worst case scenario, I may ask you to pay shipping depending on where you are, but all of the goods here are free for anyone who may have a need for it. And it doesn't have to be a new builder. If any of my longtime buddies here need any of this, just say the word.

Random archtop bridge. I think this was from AllParts

Random hardtail string-thru bridge. Was gold, but I sanded off the finish

Schaller chrome 6-on-a-side DaVinci tuners. The gears in one of the tuners appear to be bad. You may be able to salvage it, though.

These should come with a requirement: a promise to post pictures of a sweet build! Nice offer, Roger.

If you were in England I would buy all this from you and pay a fair price, but the fact you can delight someone by gifting it makes me stand back and allow someone else to benefit, in the sane way I don't hoard toilet roll

I would be thrilled with the binding and the FB clamps. I will follow your lead and offer some stuff up within this thread.

I love that we can help each other out.

I wander around the shop.. picking up boxes of "stuff" thinking I gotta get rid of this.. then a little voice screams in my head, "NO Lardazz... remember that last time, in 87, and ya needed that 3 pound Schecter Bridge the very next week.....

I got more schidt than a Port-a-Potty unloading station ...

I could put that ivoroid binding to use, I'm sure... since no one seems to need it more than me...?

I’d be happy to pay shipping (and even a fair price) for the gfs pickups. I’m in Nashville. PM me for my address, please.

And thank you for the idea. I’m pretty sure I can do the same thing with all the stuff I’ve got laying around.

Yeah. . . it sure accumulates... sometimes I'll be building another "spec" or one just for me, and wanna try some new highly touted gizmo.... so, I'll order two.. I rarely only order one of anything. This is so I can build another if it's as good as the marketers say .. (I know, I'm stupid like that, sometimes I'll buy into that crapola too.)

Not that. I'm braggin'... I't's more like "owning" my addiction.... Ya know, If ya don't recognize ya have a problem, it's hard to overcome it... Been overcoming this one since about '72...

So anyway. . . Far too often some "pie in the sky" part winds up more like "mud pie".. Something I don't want even in a room with my guitars, so into the useless parts "box-o-schidt" and there it sits collecting dust and bug droppings, until some kid comes along with a busted Aria, Cort, Squire or something... He's thrilled he got new parts for free...

Someone needs to form a Parts Anonymous... I'm in... :p

The above is why I "help" guys with their first builds.. I tell 'em don't buy into the advertising BS, go with tried and true parts.. the stuff that has an iron clad reputation... Do NOT "experiment" with new "stuff" until ya have a few "under your belt... You'll be happier in the long run..

You gotta remember, when Bubba posts, "I tried Tectonic Shaker Richter 10 Planet Killer Pups and was amazed at their..." you have no idea if Bubba actually tried anything or if Bubbba has a clue... Go with something known... That way it has a life outside of the "box-o-schidt" bin of oblivion...

Hi Roger. What a great idea! I could use those GFS gold pickups and the gold shaller 6 on a side tuners for a project I’m planning. I’ll pay shipping plus. Message me to work out the details.

PM me your address, and let's see what shipping would cost to New Zealand. Surely it can't be that much on such a small, light item.

The binding's already been spoken for.

The pickups are yours. No need to pay for them.

The pickups have already been spoken for. And did you read my description on the Schallers? They're chrome, and one of them isn't working properly.

Thanks Roger. I confess I didn’t read the description very well. But good of you to do this! It’s a great idea.

I need for nothing, but wanted to say I appreciate the gesture.

You were one of those who helped me way back when... thanks again. You're a good egg!

Hmmm, I have a stripped LP copy on the bench that needs tuners and a fat post I think Nashville TOM bridge, maybe like the Gotoh pictured but I can't see the posts. It doesn't take a normal TOM with the thinner posts.
I don't mind gold tuners and don't have any 3+3 that fit.
    Are those parts available?

Wow that's really nice to offer!
Cool if they are gone already and I will gladly send some paypal $.
