It was announced at NAMM in January and released on April 2nd. No jokes; just part of their annual "limited edition" series.

As my handle says tele-strat. Hmm seems like it should be my signature guitar.

If only Stephen Hawking were still around. He could explain this, because I don't get it.

I'd have no trouble making room for this one:

If it had a Tele headstock, I’d be all over that. As for the Strat/Tele thing I’m not huge a fan... A Nashville Tele seems like a better choice.

Fender should've named them Franken-Junkyard-Shop leftovers (wink).

I never could get into the Tele-Paul thing, only because the stop tail bar makes the back end look crowded. The dimensions are all wrong. But with a wrap-around tail-piece? Now we're talking....

I wouldn't mind having one of those around the house. Just not that color scheme. Reminds me of my great grandmothers end tables.

I bet it sounds nice but it’s not very ambitious for a “parallel universe” guitar

Ya know, dogs and cats don’t produce offspring together and I think Teles and Strat’s would be smart to follow their lead.

Hmm, this should become a 'build challenge' item... I could DIY (given a body from someplace like Tone Bomb) for a LOT less $$!

I actually like it, but I dont like the strat contours on it, and preferrably, rosewood board and hardtail.. but this works fine with me.

When I first saw all these guitars I immediately thought that Fender must be stalking this forum. I know I've seen just about every one of those kinds of builds on here. If I was forced to choose though I would definitely play that Jazzmaster/Tele.

It actually took me a few minutes of careful looking to see that it wasn't just a Strat. Oh, Tele body, yeah, mkay... so what.

I like the comment that it's like a Nashville with all these Strat characteristics. But what is a Nashville, except a Tele that already has a rather significant Strat characteristic?

A Nashville tele still has two tele pickups and a tele bridge though. This one has a Strat bridge, strat pickups, strat switching and controls, and a strat headstock. It really just looks like a single-cut strat, pretty underwhelming if you ask me, but ever since I picked up a tele I've thought "why does the strat even exist?" :)
