In my inbox today . . . .
New from Fender
Parallel Universe Strat-Tele Hybrid
I actually like it.
I've held off on commenting on this one in particular because I wasn't sure.
However, it's like a nashville tele with strat controls and trem. Pretty cool. Might be the answer for somebody like
me who like strat tones but hates the body design.
I prefer tele designs, so who knows?
My local guitar shop got that guitar two weeks ago. The owner and staff always tease me with new guitars that come in! Hmmmmph
Not a fan of this one, but I like the one that’s a Tele on a Strat body.
At first I thought no, then a bit later I thought ye-es.
Actually looks OK.
Wonder how they'll sell.
im An idiot
I think that they got it wrong.
Should be a tele body AND Neck
Not my bag...
I like the Troublemaker and Thinline Tele Super Deluxe. Jag-Strat and the Meteora are interesting.
The one I want is the Jazz-Tele:
(My wife said “ugh!” so... that might have made me want one even more!)
Although I think it's aesthetically pleasing, for $2000 I would never consider getting one - in this or any other parallel universe!
If it was more like $400 I might consider it...
Yeah sorry but that's just a strat... the shape of the body is pretty much irrelevant but nice try Fender.
Yeah, if this was a Squier series they'd be selling in spades.
I got my tele with strat shapes a year ago. I liked the idea then, and I still do.
I see the attraction and the Parallel Universe concept is interesting. That said, I would also like to see Fender innovate with some completely new designs like they did with the Dimension bass lineup.
It's like they are trying to reinvent the wheel.
Was this released on April 1st by any chance?
I like the one that's Les Paul style pickups + electronics with the bound Tele body. Yum.
I'm betting it plays and sounds exactly like a Strat.
Cool with me!
