Whenever Papa Joe posts, I pay attention and usually take to heart what he says. Yet, despite the high regard that I and others have for him, I don't think many of us have had much luck in prying his mouth open a bit more.

I'm dying for stories, I'll come out and say it. I'm only 15 years behind him, and probably would recognize some of the stuff that went on.

Not even going to raise the topic of photos and recordings. Nope.

    I always enjoy his posts.
I’m also sure that if/when he has something he wishes to share, he will.

I enjoy his posts, and I believe he's close to same age as my mother and mother in law who are living life as we all should. All of them seem to be doing a really good job of keeping at life with a good attitude.

I'm in my late 40's, and there's been unbelievable changes in society in my lifetime...

Even a person 20 years older than me has seen some amazing things.

My father-in-law was born in 1912 (he died at age 94), and was fascinating to listen to...he remembered when there was only one car in the small town he lived in! Let that sink in...

C'mon, Papa Joe, share some memoirs!

As much as we'd like to hear more from Papa Joe, perhaps the appeal of his wisdom is he's learned the secret of the maxim, "A time to speak, and a time to keep silence."

And leave them wanting more and not overstaying your welcome.

You know, it would be in keeping with the myth of Papa Joe if he totally sat this out.

Yeah, He's probably posting at the level that makes him happy.

    You gotta respect that.

He kinda reminds me of my maternal grandfather, in a way. In that, he'll tell you a story when he's ready to tell you a story. Not before......not after.
