Small update. Started spraying clear. 4 light mist coats so far. I might do 2 or 3 more tomorrow before I move on to heavier coats [IMG][IMG]

Looking pretty darn great. I like the decision not to burst, but it's not too late either.

when you do the mist coats, it's wise to do the edges/roundovers first, then also give them another little burst before you set it to rest.
Sort of double up on the corners etc. For me that small little clearcoating detail has helped guard against future sanding issues.

And now, we turn to more calming concerns and drift away on waves of relaxation, all stress and discomfort dissolve into pure happiness and contentment as we float without a care on gentle waters of Cerulean Blue... Cerulean blue... Cerulean blue...

Clear is coming along really good so far.

Another 3 or 4 coats and i think it'll be be done.

That's gotta be the paisliest red paisley ever. Ultra hot and vibrant. Keep on keepin' on my friend. What are your pickguard plans?

And, as we enjoy this continuing paisley non-drama... (everything seems to be going a little too well)... We look beyond, to a man of uncountable wealth, but yet bearing a terrible curse... Even his tele turned to gold

I absolutely LOVE the look!!! FWIW, I'm hoping that, in the coming months, I can get around to buying an AllParts paisley body and having the guy who did TDPRI member, "Fred Dairy"'s pink paisley Tele to build mine and then, hopefully, i'd like to have Bill Bores put another set of B/G benders in it - and this time it's NOT leaving my premises!!!!

Thank you sir. Clear pickguard, I guess I'll add a little burst to the neck pickup to hide the ugliest.

Still not sure on pickups yet. The standard Chrome control plate bugs me also but not really sure on alternatives

this pink paisly looks so good! the turquoise above also is a standout for me. I so want to do one of these at some point (thanks for inspiring work).

Mother may I: have a copy of the graphic? (if no, I understand. Kind of putting you on the spot and for that I apologize)

Total infection, past the point of no return. Most likely terminal.

I'm surprised Prince never played one like this. (Thinking of the Around the World in a Day album recorded at....Paisley Park Studios.)

I woke up in a cold sweat, gasping for air... the sheet wrapped tight around my neck, pillows pressing down on my face. No it wasn't my wife this time, it was just another bad dream about paisley...

You've left out Butterscotch. And this one is real. As far as I have seen it's the only one but maybe someone else has made one too? Chime in if you have or know of one.

Making me lust for a white bound with the sides done like you have.

    Fan-fun-king-tastic!!!

So if it is wrap, what do you need to use over it for clear. Urethane, right?

Guessing Urethane then? Are you using heat [to cure] at all?
