Paisley Blue body - help me choose a guard!

I'm starting a build project for 2023, a Paisley Blue Thinline Tele. Body is on its way through shipping currently - pic from the seller attached. It's certainly not for everyone but I think it'll be a great looking guitar. I've got a tinted maple neck to partner it.

My question is, what pickguard colour would you go for? Black? White? Something else - maybe Adonized Silver? Such a big decision (not really but it's fun)!

Clear, obviously! Light spray of blue paint on the underside around the pick up cavities.

How about a clear one with the deepest blue of your guitar sprayed underneath?
I'll ask here: in the year of our lord 2023, why are pickguards not held on with magnets?

I vote No Guard! Clear is my 2nd choice. Here’s my build:

We must all be buying from the same guy on eBay. Here's what I've been building this weekend... waiting for the Tru Oil on the neck to dry so I can finish up. Was going to do a black engraved paisley pick guard from a guy on Etsy as well but once I threw the black one on there I figured paisley on paisley was going to be too much. I might be partial but I think you have good taste in guitars!

Update for all - my brushed metal parts from Ghost Custom Guitars in the UK have arrived this morning and I think it's a killer combo!

EDIT: FYI, They accepted a 119.00 offer. If not up to par will put a bad neck on it for retired friend to hang on wall.

CLEAR, you can 'dust' spray (black/blue/silver or whatever) on a couple places on the back side if you need to cover something.

I was thinking a dark blue also.

Or take a vinyl record and make one from that.

A clear pickguard? If you like looking at wiring, then okay--that might work for you

I'd go with parchment or cream MOTO.
