Anyone have a scale headstock template? I think that pretty much sums it up.
Here ya go, plus a few more...
Awesome, thank you!
I'm doing a Tele-shaped P-bass build. I asked for a Mike Dint headstock template, and someone was nice enough to give me all of those.
Glad I could pass-on the favor!
Very cool! I'm debating whether I want to go with the Tele P-bass headstock of the standard P-bass headstock. I'm really not sure which one will look better.
I'm going for a vintage white with a brown tortoise shell pickguard. I'm also adding a Jazz pickup at the bridge, so not really 50's style, more 70's style...
The tele style IMO is nicer. The standard P headstock looks out of place it always reminded me of the outline of a treble clef .
It's one of the reasons I bought a Mike Dirnt !!
This is probably a silly question, but in the PDF, each block in the grids looks to be 1"?
That is correct. The pdf's print to full scale, so they are ready to go.
I just want to get working on my bass, but I'm away at the in-laws for Christmas break... But that isn't all bad, my Mother-in-law did pick up a Dano Cool Cat Trem for me for Christmas, that was quite the surprise. My wife's little bro who is also a guitarist must have helped with that one.
Back to the topic, Do you guys build a headstock template out of MFD? Or do you simply trace the design onto the headstock and cut it out with a jigsaw or bandsaw?
Thanks guys! Exactly what I needed!
Exactly what I needed as well, so a big thanks from me as well.
Perfect!! This is exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you so much. Hope can help others too
As I consider a re-shaping exercise for the recent Starcaster-by-Fender (costco special)
acquisition, courtesy of the List of Craig, I'll see whether there's room for a round tip - it's rather pointy.
Big thanks for this guide.
