Just finished binging the first two seasons of Ozark--addictive! Traces of "Breaking Bad" but different in its pacing. The show has a ton of WTF moments and plot twists in every episode and they kill off key characters left and right. I find the cinematography quite compelling as well. Anyone else digging it?

It's very good but not great. The two things that really elevate the show are the stellar performances and the unique setting in the Ozarks (actually it's filmed here in Georgia but you know what I mean). Definitely planning to watch Season 3

The wife and I really liked this show. Jason Bateman has grown up to be quite the actor.

I gave up on it very quickly, but I might give it another chance after your recommendation.

I really like it because the story is fresh and well thought out. Tarantino style violence will weed people out in the very 1st epidode.

I really like the trashy blond who gets taken under the main character's wing. What a great actress.

Yup. He's completely likeable in everything he does--even when the material is underwhelming. Maybe it's because he plays the unflashy "everyman" character in such a relatable and convincing manner. It would be kind of funny if we learned that he's a complete Antonio Brown in real life.

Expecting season 3 to be the best yet. Love how they set up the new concept. Not gonna spoil.

Season 3 starts in March. Bateman and Linney play it very well in their unconventional marriage.

I watched it and liked it. Waiting for season 3. Another one I enjoyed is Goliath with Billy Bob Thornton. You guys know him, he is the lead singer and guitar player for The Boxmasters. Great band!

I almost bailed at first. Jason Bateman and Laura Linney's characters seemed unlikable and weird early on. One comes to understand them better as the story progresses. By the end of Season Two, you find yourself rooting for them like Walter White and Jesse Pinkman in "Breaking Bad"--criminal and ruthless as they may be. To me, the constant plot twists and surprises build quite a lot of tension and suspense. As a side note, it was a enthusiastic recommendation from a British friend of mine in the North of England who got me to check it out.

My wife and I got into it about a year and a half ago and binged the first two seasons. I was expecting the 3rd last summer but apparently they are way behind schedule. I’ve almost lost interest but Im sure once it comes on again my wife will get me back into it.

Filmed in Georgia--I did not know that! The accents the redneck actors, especially the Ruth Langmore character, used sounded more South Carolinian (where I'm originally from) than Ozark hillbilly.
