Adrien Belew posted a photo of Tina and Chris showing up at a gig during the tour he (Belew) and Jerry Harrison are on- he quoted her as answering the "How do you play those bass lines?" by saying "You just do it". Her playing just fits the songs.

Tina only picked up the bass after David and Chris asked her to-Tabula Rasa.

One of my absolute faves hasn’t been mentioned yet: Felix Pappalardi from Mountain. He was not just a great bass player, but a fine producer and a great singer. I saw Mountain live once, and Felix could really lay down the groove. He was the complete package.

For years, people used to refer to "the Motown bass player," not knowing that his name was James Jamerson. (Yeah, they did have other bass players, but...)

He was a big hero across the Atlantic. For more on that, see:

Harvey Brooks was who I got the idea for this half fretted bass back in the early ‘80s.
Tommy Shannon and Carl Radle were. two of my biggest bass idol when I was learning to play.
