I don't believe there is an existing thread for these excellent guitars, so I'm starting one.

Awesome. How about some more pics, and the backstory on how you acquired it?

I purchased the Standard from a guy in Japan who has an eBay store. The shipping costs and customs duties are an added expense. The Orville and ObG guitars were made in Japan, so most of them come on the market comes from Japan. I lucked out with the Junior, as I got it from a US seller.

If I can find any more photos of the Standard I'll post them.

My 1989 ObG Les Paul Junior. An equisitely made example of Japanese craftmanship.

True but I believe the ObG line was discontinued a long time ago correct? What year was yours made?

Just picked this up after about 10 years since my last Orville. It's great!

Hey everyone! I just picked up this 89 OBG. It has the Bill Lawrence pickups and she sounds fantastic! Can anyone decider the serial number of G899237?

Had a chance to buy an OBG Firebird late last year for a good price but found the Bird I wanted. It woulda been nice having that old Bird. My grandads name was Orville.
