    Congrats on your first Tele.

If you ever do decide to swap pickups keep the American Reissue 62 Tele pick ups in mind. Great sound and cheap to buy!

You don't have the forearm contour or the belly cutout like you have on a strat. This changes your playing position/ergonomics slightly and is one of the reasons why certain guitars make you play differently than others. You'll get used to it...or your next tele will have contours!

I think that might change over time for you. It did for me. I've had mine about 3 years now and I find that I use all of the pickup combinations way more than I used to. Mine's a Mexican Nashville, with 3 stock Tex Mex pups, and Strat wiring. I have no desire to change them. Other players tell me how good my tone is. Course I'm playing through a 66 Princeton and have 10 pedals... For me, pickups are the last thing I'll invest $ into. With a good running rig, amp, pedals, wireless, you can make a $95 Rondo Music tele sound fantastic.

Gotta say I'm loving this guitar. Way more versatile then I had anticipated. Feels more comfortable holding it vs my strat. Not sure why.

I've seen this quote on a T-shirt, and I've used it myself:

"Leo got it right the first time!"
