Always always always have several projects going!
Pretty much my whole life is a project and I never really view things as completed or immune to the nature of change being the only constant.

My house just went up for sale this week so any parts not made into guitars will go into storage over the next few months.
Wanted to assemble test critique tweak and semi finalize a fairly traditional Strat before moving.
The 59 neck was almost ready to bolt on and fit a nut, hanging in the sun to darken a bit.
My wife opened th sliding door and the spot I had hung the neck was foolishly risky.
Fell 5-6 feet and got modded.
Hmmm, I can certainly be happy that I do not have many of the problems now happening in other parts of the world..
Ugh!
Man that's too bad. Looks like It can be glued up fine though with some care.

My problems with Warmoth are not about their quality, but with their neck profiles. I have never found one that I have completely bonded with, and they are quick to upcharge you for anything different than their limited normal offerings. Musikraft have a way better selection of neck profiles. I still love the Warmoth bodies though.
I like 'em both but have just the opposite experience. I can't find anything better than a Warmoth 59 Roundback for me. Probably will sell my Musikraft soft V T neck and get another 59 RB. The MK soft V (forget what they call it) is not really that soft a V. Sure glad I got the W 59 last year.
I tried Musikraft but they were saying 10 week delivery. Warmoth was 6 and beat that a little.

MK does have more options though. I tried their "rolled fret board edges" on the last one, but it didn't seem any different than a non rolled to me. next time I'll try their "heavy roll" and see maybe.

Should be easy to make it work but due to some end grain crush I doubt I can make it invisible.
Not that big a deal but it sucks to suck!
Should not have left it vulnerable like I did...

You went for "aged finish" but got "heavy reliced"! :(
After glue up you could just remove some of that overhang to get a nice clean butt end of the fretboard, not sure why it's there really, no fret out there...?

The last fret on my Strat overhang is closer to the end...

The 59 Roundback is probably their best offering in my opinion, and I can live with that one. However, I still prefer the profile to be a hair thinner than the 59. For most of my mid budget projects, I have been using the Allparts necks when I can find the specs I like. It's kind of hit an miss for those though.

Hmmm, might be camera angle but pics it does look longer.
Typical new Warmoth, have to compare it when I get home.
Could indeed just shorten it a bit after I glue the chunk back in place, get rid of the crushed bit.

Yeah, I got a nice fat Allparts once years ago that wouldn't fit in the Fender neck pocket! And not by a little either! I carved it on the lower side near the heel to go in the pocket. Like this: (not the actual neck/guitar)

OMG I did the same thing to an Allparts neck.
Why oh why are they wider?
Interesting! I haven't had that same problem with those that I have used. They will fit snug but not too big for most of the USA spec bodies that I have used. I know that some MIM or Asian bodies can have slightly different specs, but I have interchanged them with Warmoth and other bodies I have used. No problems whatsoever. If you have to carve away part of a body for a neck to fit, it's time to stop and consider something else. I have done that in past and won't do it anymore even if I have to buy a different neck to complete the build. Sorry you have had to experience those issues.
