Years back, I built a custom Warmoth thinline with a Warmoth roasted Maple neck. The top is Padouk and I thought making the neck somewhat match the top would be really cool. Plus Padouk is a great tonewood. Here's what the thinline looks like right now. (Upgraded neck will be posted later)

FYI: they seem to be running slow. I ordered 3 custom necks 1/14. I sent a email today @ day 47. Site at time of order was saying 5-6 weeks... Unless they mean 5-6 weeks of business days.

49=7 as simple math indicates.

They of course took my money day one.

Beautiful! Looking forward to seeing the upgraded neck.
Thank you kind sir. Just waiting for my neck(s) to arrive. I have ordered two identical Padouk reverse headstock necks with stainless steel frets and Rosewood fretboards.

I have to save up for a Hybrid-Strat body build, Black Korina body capped with Padouk for a pair of semi matched guitars.

To update my previous post:

Hello Robert,
Thank you for checking in with us. Our posted production times are approximations, as there are so many variables involved. Currently, orders for necks have been taking a tad longer in the fret department due to the volume of orders we've had.
Your order is now with our shipping department and should be shipping today or tomorrow. We’ll send tracking when it’s ready to leave.
Thank you for being a Warmoth customer and let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.

Best Regards,

Jeff Bridges

Seems like waiting is the hardest part.
I want the shipment ASAP but then it takes weeks for me to finish up an assembly. (Or months)
POOR ME!
One Warmoth neck arrived last year and really just needs a body to be ready then tuners installed and a nut cut.
Another Warmoth neck I stuffed back in the packaging, and FYI check with a straight edge before doing anything to it.
The one Fatback has a rather huge up bow or relief, without strings. Truss rod needs about 2 1/2 turns quite tight just to be straight, again with no strings.

Slow progress in my workshop...

I love doing my guitar builds and playing the finished guitar. Sounds like you have several projects. Very cool.

I also recently got a few quick from Musikraft from in stock page, and a bit less each than the Warmoths.

I did get a stainless fretted one this Warmoth order. I had got one [my one and only] on a sale years back for $155.00 and it makes the guitar it is on my #1. Yada...

I also got two on ebay recently from seller howellguitar. Not installed yet, but looks very good for dollar. $75 and 95.00, bone nut included. The 95.00 Tele neck has some fret work that surprised me. Slots not cut thru and rounded/finished beautifully. So you don't see slots or fret slots filled on edges. Not a detail you'd expect for that price point. Can't wait to get that one on and diddle...

My problems with Warmoth are not about their quality, but with their neck profiles. I have never found one that I have completely bonded with, and they are quick to upcharge you for anything different than their limited normal offerings. Musikraft have a way better selection of neck profiles. I still love the Warmoth bodies though.

Update my Warmoth order post above.

Necks landed today, 3/10. Ordered as customs, nothing wild 1/14.

Should be good indicator of realistic timeline for an order, unless they get caught up, or worst... gets worse. ;)

Friendly squeaky wheeling got me $32.00 of the shipping credited back. Ask and you shall receive, just lead them or ask nicely. #Thumper Doctrine

Always always always have several projects going!
Pretty much my whole life is a project and I never really view things as completed or immune to the nature of change being the only constant.

My house just went up for sale this week so any parts not made into guitars will go into storage over the next few months.
Wanted to assemble test critique tweak and semi finalize a fairly traditional Strat before moving.
The 59 neck was almost ready to bolt on and fit a nut, hanging in the sun to darken a bit.
My wife opened th sliding door and the spot I had hung the neck was foolishly risky.
Fell 5-6 feet and got modded.
Hmmm, I can certainly be happy that I do not have many of the problems now happening in other parts of the world..
