it is better than Red Green would do.... but, I'd rather have whatever Red Green would do.

it looks kind of like a guitar Soupy Sales kid would play... the tin machine dude... wait, the dude is reeves gabrels, he'd like this'n.

I think it's a beautiful piece of design work and craftsmanship.

It makes sense it's by a "luthier with a background in furniture design". The emphasis seems to be more on design innovation vs. function. I'd be curious how comfortable it is to play because to my eye it doesn't look balanced. Also not crazy about the control and input jack layout. That bridge and the pick ups look very interesting. The case is downright scary looking like there should be some kind of high tech sniper rifle in it.

Thanks for the post. Very interesting.

Not enough to pay 3 grand ... I'll wait for the $ 400 import version ... I'm not holding my breath ...

So many other interesting guitars to choose from for $3,100+. The "luthier with a background in furniture design" has managed to make walnut look like molded ABS plastic.

It is amazing. I don’t really like the shape, but the bridge, and neck (the bolt-on-string-through idea) are great.

The logo is minimalist and clever. As a design exercise, I love it. As a player, I am skeptical.

As an engineer I appreciate aesthetics in design and this guitar has it in spades. As an engineer I also adhere to a form follows function design philosophy. This is where it comes up short. The body is too small to play comfortably seated. The neck looks outsized for the body. The controls are jammed too close together. There doesn’t appear to be much room in the control cavity. I can’t see shielding. Is there shielding paint? It sure is pretty but I don’t think I could live with it.

I like the brass and the neck going into the body that far.

    But no. Hard no.
If I wanted custom +Danelectro + boutique Canadian all in one guitar, I'm certain Vineham could crank out quite a few pickups and not be exceeding $3k.

Also, I like my tuners all on one side. And we're already talking CS money.
    Hard pass.
