Got myself another Strandberg Salen, this is the NX 6 Deluxe version with chambered body, and my god what a sound and as always the most ergonomically easy to play guitar I've ever owned. I had another Salen before but as much as I loved it I had to return because within 3 months the neck (previously a roasted maple) got badly warped and the factory admitted the fault and sent me a replacement, the replacement arrived with sharp frets and I mean very sharp so I got annoyed and told them to keep it and give me a full refund which they did.

Now they've redesigned it, no more roasted maple just normal kiln dried maple, I went to try if before deciding and this one now is perfect.

Very pleased.

Looks pretty sweet!
Your previous roasted maple neck got warped badly? Huh, I thought the roasting (torrefying) process is supposed to mitigate that. What did the factory say about it?
They apologised and said they are not sure how it happened, but I was more annoyed when the replacement one they sent me still needed a fret dress as all the frets were uneven and badly sprouting. I gave up and eventually they informed me that this new model the NX as in next gen has been improed and that they've stopped using roasted maple and like I said I had very little faith in them until I phisycally held it and tried and well finally they got it spot on so this one is a keeper unless it happens again. touch wood.
