I don’t want any likes from this, just thought I’d write about this because all of us animal lovers have to deal with this at some point in our lives
And our fuzzy friends don’t usually get a eulogy

I live with my folks and we have a pug that we got when I was younger, I live in a basement apartment and I went upstairs to get a drink and I checked on Theodore and the poor old guy has passed away
He must of at least been 14 years old

He was a good boy and had been going down hill the last year
He escaped out of the back yard on Saturday and we found him in the bushes in the front, I think he knew it was time and went out there on purpose

He hung on for a couple more days, I don’t know how my fathers going to handle it he was a family pet but my dads baby, even though I wasn’t as close I’m still emotional about him, no one likes for this to happen

Here’s to Theodore- you were a good boy and I’m gonna miss you

He had a comfortable full life

These guys break your heart every time, the joy we have with them lasts forever in memory

Sounds like Theodore was a good dog - and that he was lucky to be part of the family. It’s hard losing a good pet. I hope your dad, and the rest of the family, handles it well.

Here’s to Theodore. I’m truly sorry for your loss. They bring do much love and really ask for so little in return

I’ve lost more than a few dogs over the years and it always hurts. They’re part of the family for many of us. I lost my best girl in December. I took in my father in law’s papillon after he passed. He’s part of our household now. We’re bringing home a new puppy next week. I don’t know why we choose to put ourselves through this but we do. I’m sorry to hear of your loss. My condolences to you and your dad.

Sorry to hear this, man. I believe this forum should be renamed TDPRI+Dogs, because the best posts are about folks' guitars and pets. My Daisy, a Beagle mix, had to be put down last year, and there's still a void in my house. I've been looking for another, but appropriate dogs just aren't to be found right now. My condolences, and best wishes to your family.
