Never managed to get a Boy Scout out of a horse’s hoof with a Tele though.

Singular? Hoof x 2 = hooves. Roof x 2 (used to) = rooves. Had to prove the point to one of my sons tge other week, found an old dictionary that gave it as an alternative. I remember when you could use hello, hallo or hullo, I know languages evolve and I’m old!

Sounds good to me, but I would substitute a glass of wine for the bourbon.

    Oh dear, sorry!
When I was a kid a poof was two foot diameter two foot high leather covered thing, stuffed with horse hair, that you used as a foot stool sitting in your favourite chair. I think it's name may have been a cockney take on the french pouffe?

Yep, can still get them in IKEA and good ol' John Lewis! Your thought never crossed my mind...............................if you're reading this, Mods!

I have a studio HP LP with the coil tap & split (actually, the crazy one with all the dipswitches). Also had the studio with coil taps (or were they splits) before. Before that, I had a sig t with splits (or taps, dunno). Pickups were/are the 58/58 plus & 490r/498t. Anyway - none of those sound like my even my worst tele. Maybe there's a different pickup that can, but I feel like it's the scale.

But who knows. You know what guitar can do the tele sound for me (at least the bridge)? A jaguar - specifically the Johnny Marr Jag. Sure it's a bit more staccato, but once it's in the mix, it's all good.
