If you had to live the rest of your life with one guitar, what would it be? Feel free to add as much or as little detail as you’d like.

Let's start off by consigning the ES-335 to the hall of fame.

    Ibanez 1977 2350L.

Even if it is a bolt neck and the original pickups were swapped out for a JB/59 set (long before I got it).

2005 Jackson SL3 retrofitted with an Original Floyd Rose and a Super Switch allowing for some cool switching options.

Fatdog 9-string telecaster. If there's still a pickup under the pickguard can it count as an esquire? XD

7 years with it now and it is still a joy to play every day:

A Telecaster. Fat neck. Lowish wind A5 or A3 pickups. 4-way switch.

With a good amp, that guitar can do anything. If I can't say it on that Tele, then I don't know how to say it.

I'm just going to stand pat on the 10 I have now.

If 9 of them are stolen, I'll be happy with the one that's left.

I couldn't do this because no guitar is that universal so since I can only have one I would pick a Les Paul with a Marshall stack so I could be the loudest.

The one at the bottom. Add those two electrics. One of each then this. An Sg would be nice.

I’m a dyed in the wool tele guy since 2001, but after spending the last year with both, this one tops my list. The tele is definitely #1b, however.

Interestingly we got asked to do a “one guitar” build for a local YouTube show and just finishing it up.
Since that’s an impossible task (!), I decided to do one that I could live with. It’s basically a thin line style body but without the f-hole since I constantly drop picks in them and look like a doofus shaking them out :)
Vintage-y tele bridge pickup and a similar strat neck pickup. Standard 3-way switch with a push-pull for the series thing.
Chunky asymmetrical v-neck, 9.5” radius with medium jumbos.
Don’t know if it’ll check all the boxes but it sounded like a good idea when I was planning it.

My Les Paul is the one. Ten pounds of thick-necked snarling singing rip-snorting happiness. It’ll raise the dead and make them dance.

My "just one" guitar is a lot different than my "favorite" guitar or my "go-to" guitar. The "just one" needs to be more versatile, on a technical level.

It's either a Strat or a thinline hollowbody of some sort – my 330 or my Guild T-100D.
