Here's the tune:
So the intro has a descending thing going on (A>G>F#>F>E>D), and I think there's a Mando or Nashville tuned guitar or something playing Chords. I can get those notes by playing the following chords: A>A7>D>F>E>D. I was trying triads on the highest three strings, starting with the D- shaped A at the 9th and 10th fret. I think it generally works, but I'm not in love with it.
What would you play?
Edit to add: Brendan Benson should be 1000 X more famous/popular. What a songwriter!
