Ok ive been inspired by this website to rebuild a guitar. I have a squier strat laying around so i figured what the heck? might as well give it a try. Ive sanded it down and ordering a new neck from all parts. Im wanting to do Olympic white with gold hardware. But ive noticed in some pics of olympic white guitars they have a yellow tint to it when others are really white. What causes this? the yellow tint that is. i read on reranches website that its not suppose to be clear coated b/c it causes the yellow tint. So does that mean that it wont be good and shiney? lol

It's just the paint oxidizing that yellows it. Attached is a pic of a beautifuly aged olympic white tele with the pick guard off that shows how much it's changed over time. You can shade your color to look new or as aged as you want and also any sheen-gloss/satin/flat- What do you want?
