Hi everyone! After a long hiatus, I started checking out this website again and thought I would make my first post in years here. I joined in 2003 and am happy to see there are still some familiar members from that era- even a few from my SoCal area. I'm looking forward to interacting a bit more frequently- it looks like a great crew here.
I'll post some pics of some of my gear once I get a bit more familiar with the site. Glad to be back on board!

I like seeing the folks dicing it up here in early days posting now. I also came back semi-recently.

Have fun, it has stayed way more civil than I expected after being off so long. Kudos to the Mods!!

Pulling up the coffee table for a foot rest. Welcome!

Have a seat in my favorite armless chair, grab a guitar, and let's crank!

Don't worry I'd ya spill the bourbon, the floor sucks it up like a sponge... smells better than incense.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone! I appreciate it!

As promised, here's a picture of my regular players.

The first two on the left were purchased after reading recommendations from this site. The one on the left is a 2003 Highway One Texas Telecaster. The hot original pickups were pretty dark and muddy so I swapped them for Fender Nocasters. Still have the originals though. It's about 7 pounds and the 12" radius / rolled edge fretboard is pretty comfortable.

The middle is a 2003 MIM 50s Tele. I read a post here about a great deal someone got at their Guitar Center so I went to my local one and, after calling to confirm, they matched the price. I was hearing a lot of great things about Fred Stuart Black Guards here at the time, so I ordered a set for it. It was my main gigging guitar for years.

The one on the right is a MJT. I wasn't really a fan of reiics, but this one came to me through my wife's childhood friend. It was damaged after she shipped it to me from back east and arrived sporting a nice big gouge- so I guess it legitimized the relic thing! My friend put it together with TV Jones Starwood pickups and it's now my favorite player - nice and light at about 6.5 pounds with a great baseball bat neck.

I was really grateful to find this site and learn from everyone here years ago. And I'm glad to be back!
