Just got this cool orange USA Ross Phaser tonight for $20 bucks.
I got home and hooked it up to my board and *crickets*.....

Actually I heard a thumping like a child's kick drum coming thru the amp, so I fooled around and checked a few things...still nothing.

I searched around for a 9volt, ran it straight into the amp, and...
HALLELUJAH!!! SWEET TONE. Damn I love this thing. Been playing an old DOD FX20B for years, and loved some phaser, especially for some old Wailers Uprising type tunes, and this old Ross is just what I needed.

    Big score tonight. Give thanks!

20 bucks? man I'm jealous! I've been trying to replace my orange Ross for about 4 years since stupidly selling mine. FYI, the black taiwan ones are a totally different circuit and some of the later orange ones are the same as the black taiwan ones. The late 70's USA ones are amazing! Enjoy!

That's a great buy. I love phase; that and a touch of chorus and i'm good to go. I picked up a Boss PH-1r recently. Cost a lot more than $20 though!

Great find! I've got one that I've A/B'd against several other phasers and I prefer the Ross.

I have that exact Phaser and Love it !! I got mine used with an amp I bought in the late '80's.

It has a Real Cool effect that does'nt sound like any others I've tried.

Very cool - I accidentally got one of them many, many years ago and it's just sat here.
I'd been planning to trade/sell/give it away, as I never really used it.
    Maybe I should reconsider.
Thx for the post/suggestion. Peace - Deeve

That is how I felt. It is a good fot for me with the style of phase I get from this Ross. Thanks fellas.

It's in good shape and can't beat the price. The guy was real nice and just glad to see it going to be used.

I'm a old guy and I love phase. I've had a old Ross for 15 years on my board and many phasers have challenged it but the Ross always wins. Enjoy your baby.

I'm not very old and don't listen to much 70s music, but the phaser has always been my favorite effect. I recently discovered you can get wicked vintage synth tones by running a high gain od pedal into a phaser.

Have the black/orange version. Love it. Not a fan of dome of the other vintage Ross stuff but the phaser is legit
