Ive never in my 68 yrs had long hair. I always sported a 50s 60s buzz cut, it even got shorter while in the USMC. Never felt the need.

It's good to have the choice of how to wear your hair...;)

instead of it being suggested/told what hair style you should have, by someone else....

I never had a ponytail, even when young with shoulder-length hair....but I might sport a Fedora, IF I could wear it when I drove around in a 1941 Buick.

I would also wear billowy, high-waisted trousers, starched white shirt with tie, and brown wingtip shoes.

If I feel hair touching my ears I know it's time to get it cut...

I had a chat to an old guy at the store a couple hours ago. He had an obvious wig on, it was grey similar to what hair of his own that remained. It looked like it was set with a clear coat of lacquer.
He was a nice guy, I enjoyed the friendly chat and you could tell he was much like myself only older. A real character. I thought to myself there must be a point in time that you just go with what nature has handed you but then I figured I wouldn't want to be cue ball bold either regardless of how old I am. I don't care what people look like or what style they choose to rock. Sure he looked funny but it just made the conversation that much more entertaining.

I had it a long time ago and now retired, have considered it but it's just too much of a hassle for me.

I've spent most of my adult life between two options that seem to work OK: crew cut and ponytail. It has been a while since I last had a Government Temp Job in an Interesting Location, so I'm at a ponytail now.

I have a couple of braided ponytails stashed somewhere in my "stuff".

The trouble with balding young guys is that they never got to live, so they try to tell others how they should. My pony tail is older than you...

    Ouch...

When I was 47-48 (turned 49 this year), I was sporting a man bun with shaved sides. I'm Asian and I didn't have white hair. I just got tired going to the hair cutter every month and the bun was easy to do myself. Just shave the sides and I was good.

Does that count as something you guys get annoyed with? Why?

Jealousy will get you nowhere. Better than having to use Lemon Pledge to keep your dome shiny...

I don't know man. A clean head that smells like lemon is better than old gross greasy hair that smells like mildew. o_O

Is that better? Gross old guy hair that smells like beer?

But hey, let's not fight about it. We can find a middle ground that looks good on everyone.

Why do you care so much about what other guys hair looks and smells like?
