Here it is, my beloved mexican Tele. In 2012 it was the first Tele I bought, and it was the guitar that founded my love for Telecasters. It plays beautiful, low action, good sustain, no dead spots on the fretboard. The only thing I didn´t like were the pickups.

So I brought it to my musicstore (have two very left hands and problems with eyesight in near distance) and have them change the pickups. In the bridge now works a Lil´59, wired straight as a humbucker. In neck position is now a Duncan SF 1 Vintage humbucker, which I had bought about 30 years ago. It should have been built into a selfmade Firebird, but that´s a complete other story. This mini humbucker has never been built in a guitar before, it was NOS.

Both pickups sound very good, each one in it´s own way. With this guitar I have all the humbucker I will ever need.

    Lucky day for me!

Nice Ullrich! I'm thinking doing same in the near future. I hopefully I get to hear it on the next monthly backing track thread.

Nice. Love the lil 59. I like it even more with it wired for series-parallel using a push pull pot in the tone position. Series is the full rock sound and parallel is more tele bright sound. Makes your tele even more versatile. The parallel is a really great sound. You should check it out !

That's one of the great things about Teles. If you like their look and the way they play but aren't in love with the sound of the stock pickups it's very easy to locate some you do like and pop those in. Makes a new guitar out them. Glad you found "your sound".

Thank You for your interest and your proposal of wiring the Little ´59 series / parallel. I had thought of that, too, but as I have (and love) my american standard and deluxe, I have my single coil sounds. I surely have a tendency towards diversity :)
